In general, the foundation will support three types of requests:
- Projects of service to the general community or pilot projects. 
- Seed money to enable projects to demonstrate their potential or enhance services. 
- Funding for community amenities.

2026 GRANT APPLICATION TIMELINE
- October 1, 2025: Grant Application Available 
- December 4, 2025: MANDATORY Grant Meeting - 6pm at the Humboldt Community Center, 607 1st Ave. S, Humboldt 
- January 2, 2026: Grant Application Deadline - Applications must be delivered by 4:00 pm to Partnership for Economic Growth, 29 5th Street South, Humboldt, IA. Place copies in the appropriately labeled box. If mailed, applications must be postmarked no later than December 30, 2025. 
- January 2026: Committee Meets to Review Applications 
- February 4, 2026: HCCF Board meets to Approve Grants 
- February 11, 2026: GDMCF Submission and Final Approval 
- February 16, 2026: Notice of Grant Awards Mailed to Recipients 
- March 12, 2026: Grant Awards Ceremony - 6pm at Humboldt Community Center, 607 1st Ave. S, Humboldt (Details Will Be Provided to Awardees) 
- September 30, 2026: Grant Evaluations or Extension Requests Are Due - **The Humboldt County Community Foundation reserves the right to alter the Grant Timeline if necessary.

Proof of purchase and expenditure of funds applying to grants must be supplied to the community foundation within 3 months or a request for extension must be given by the community foundation. You must also submit a signed, completed Humboldt County Community Foundation Evaluation Form.
